After a ten-month battle with COVID-19, Rabbi Yehuda “Yudi” Dukes, has died at 39. The father of six and husband to musician and therapist Sarah Dukes inspired thousands of people to pray, learn Torah and do mitzvos in his merit over the course of his illness, which was mostly spent in the hospital. His wife Sarah actively updated thousands of concerned people on her Facebook page about the ups and downs Rabbi Dukes’ condition, including his brief return home just a few months ago. Her faith and dedication to believing in a positive outcome was a source of support to many throughout the pandemic. Before COVID, Rabbi Dukes directed the Jewish Learning Network JNet, pairing Jews to learn together worldwide.
