Couple Who Shouted Discriminatory Comments at Haredi Jews Removed From United Flight

A flight from Newark, New Jersey to Tel Aviv was delayed on Saturday night when a couple was removed from the plane following their discriminatory remarks towards Orthodox Jews onboard. The couple was yelling that the Haredi Jews onboard were “spreading the disease [Coronavirus].” Flight attendants were alerted and the couple was removed from the flight promptly. In a subsequent statement, United Airlines condemned the incident by relating that, “United will not tolerate discrimination of any kind. When this case was brought to our attention, we dropped off these passengers and they were taken to a destination on a later flight. We appreciate the quick response of our crew who believe in a safe and respectful environment.” Read more here.
