Jenny Goldfarb Got a Cuban Deal on Shark Tank And Loves Learning Torah

Jenny Goldfarb, Founder and CEO of Mrs. Goldfarb’s Unreal Deli, got a deal on Shark Tank with Mark Cuban last year. Her pitch was full of charm and Jewish references. I was immediately intrigued and wanted to learn more. When I checked the site, her products weren’t kosher yet (now they are!), but the FAQ adorably said, “We can’t wait to be kosher, so lots of hamotzis can be said on our sandwiches!”

Goldfarb is the great granddaughter of a deli entrepreneur. While her vegan deli meat company connects her to generations past in one way, her exploration of Torah study and an embrace of Jewish rituals, connects her in another way. Listen to Goldfarb’s fascinating journey of starting a successful company, returning to her Jewish roots, and using Torah wisdom in her approach as an entrepreneur.

And, because this is an amazing product, Mrs. Goldfarb’s Unreal Deli is giving a 2.5 package of corned beef away to one lucky fan. Just hop onto our Facebook and Instagram pages to enter the giveaway.

You can make a dairy “Reuben” for Shavuos in the meantime, with this incredible recipe below and an 18% discount code of ALLISON at checkout.

Wold Famous Unreal Reuben

Unreal Corn’d Beef, 3-4 oz thin sliced
Rye bread (or bread of choice)
Swiss or Provolone cheese
Russian or Thousand Island Dressing
Sauerkraut
Optional: Sautéed Onions, Pickles

HEAT A SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT, SPRAYED WITH OIL.

Place the Corn’d Beef in one thick stack as it’ll go on the sandwich with the cheese ontop. Cover with a lid and apply a couple drops of water to the pan to MELT THE CHEESE (quickly please, don’t overheat the meat).
(alternatively you can toast the bread and then melt the cheese in 45 seconds in the microwave on one slice)

Add dressing, sauerkraut and sautéed onions if you’re really fancy.
Serve with additional dressing for dipping and a pickle on the side!
