Actor, director, and producer Dr. Mayim Bialik is one of the most publicly observant Jews in the history of celebrities. She has used her platform to improve the name of the Orthodox Jewish community to the world, by using the term positively and publicizing and normalizing Jewish traditions most people don’t know about. To honor and thank Mayim for all she’s done, Jew in the City gave her thee Keter Shem Tov Award at their 6th Annual All Star Awards on December 2, 2019 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. While Mayim was not able to be at the event in person, she watched the entire show live, via Skype and then accepted her award with this moving speech.
