Fauda Wins at JITC’s 2nd Jewish Media Awards

At the 2nd annual Jewish Media Awards, held at Lincoln Center on November 12, 2024, actress and proud Sephardic Jew Emmanuelle Chriqui introduced Israeli TV series “Fauda” as the recipient of the prestigious Keter Shem Tov Award.

Doron Ben-David, who plays the beloved character Steve, accepted the award on behalf of the show.

“I am deeply honored that our show is being recognized for its proud and authentic Jewish representation,” he said. “Representation is more important than ever—especially at a time when Israel and Israelis are being so deeply dehumanized. The power of storytelling has never been more critical.”

Doron also took a moment to honor Matan Meir z”l, a Fauda production crew manager who was tragically killed in battle in Gaza in November 2023.
