Kosher Barbecue Festival Heats Up Atlanta’s Culinary Scene

Metro Atlanta’s Kosher BBQ Festival returns to the suburb of Dunwoody this October, celebrating its 8th year. With kosher ribs, chicken, brisket and chili on tap, the 4,000 expected attendees will enjoy the largest barbecue competition in the southeast. The festival was featured in the film No Pork on the Fork and it features 25 competitors who will be supervised by the Atlanta Kashrut Commission. Local police and fire department teams will compete with others from Chicago and Texas. A fun run, music and kids’ activities are also on the schedule. As the defending champions from the 2019 competition try to reclaim their title, (last year’s was postponed due to COVID) tasting tickets are available to the public for $1. Read more here.
