Insider Touts Separate Bed Sleeping as a Sign of Self-Care

After 12 years of marriage, a woman decided that she and her husband would have more joy in their lives and in their marriage by sleeping in separate beds. She writes, “When it comes to sleep, my husband and I are opposites. I like flailing around, while he sleeps like a log. I pile on blankets and pillows, while he’s a bedtime minimalist. He likes the dog in the bed, while I’m obsessive about clean sheets.” Once she and her husband got over the stigma associated with separate beds in Western society, they have discovered numerous benefits.
