Support #MeetaJewintheCity So We Can Go Global!

As a response to the recent wave of anti-Semitic attacks on Orthodox Jews, Jew in the City, a nonprofit dedicated to reversing negative associations about religious Jews, responded with kindness.

On Monday, January 13th 2020, staff and volunteers, stood outside a tent (open on all four sides) on the corner of 106th Street and 3rd Avenue in East Harlem giving out free coffee and rugelach. Our goal was to humanize the Orthodox Jew, the most visible of Jews, so negative feelings against the Jewish community are lessened.

The response to our pop-up has been overwhelming. The press coverage has gone viral, and we have been inundated with requests from all over the world to make this program global. We are raising money so that we can respond to this need and communities all over the world can bring this program local, and we need your help!

Your donation, big or small helps us to continue the important work that we are doing. This funding goes directly to operational costs to building a system of recruiting and screening leaders around the world to execute these pop-ups and PR and promotion to publicize the acts of kindness so that the positive impact continues to multiply. Please help us create a kinder world, one cup of coffee at a time!
