Three Lives We’ve Changed At Project Makom

MakomLogoSliderWe are changing lives at Project Makom. With nearly 700 people in our Facebook group and almost 200 who came out to in-person events this year, not only are we reaching a large number of people, we are impacting them profoundly.

Check out three stories from our Makom members below, then please help us continue to grow. We have secured a $5,000 grant to bring on social worker if we can raise $10,000. Your generous support is needed so that we can serve the growing needs of our Makom members. With this funding, we will be bringing on Debbie Akerman, LMSW, our new Director of Social Services who will be undertaking the daunting and all-important process of welcoming new Makom members, to understand the needs of our members and how best to serve them. She’ll be compiling a comprehensive list of resources with which to refer them, will set up a hotline, and will offer them low-cost counseling and supportive phone sessions. Every dollar counts!
