Rabbi David Shabtai, MD is the rabbi of the Sephardic Minyan at the Boca Raton Synagogue in Boca Raton, Florida and is on the faculty of the Katz Yeshiva High School. He received his semicha from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine. He is interested in the intersection of medicine and Halacha and wrote, Defining the Moment: Understanding Brain Death in Halacha. Questions? Comments?
