What were the most viewed JITC posts of 2013? Apparently, our readers like when we write about hasidim, current events, and answer questions. An exciting thing about 2013 is that this was the first year in JITC’s history that someone other than me did some of the writing, and although Rabbi Jack Abramowitz has only contributed a few times so far, two of his posts made our top ten list. (Great choice in having him contribute, obviously!) Without further ado, this is what you guys liked the most!

  1. Allison, I love your columns, and I want to let you know that you are appreciated for your efforts. Of these 10 columns, I have to compliment you on #9. I have followed this issue since it became news, and I support Sharansky’s efforts (and even if not perfect, it may be the best solution), but I was impressed by the stand you have taken even with the commenters who are taking a “hardline” stand on this. I think this defines “something that comes with the territory”! Now more than ever, we need to learn to get along, even if we have to agree to disagree. Keep up the good work!

  2. I agree with Sheldon, that #9 was the best. It’s sad — and fundamentally challenging — how when so much of the world is against us, we fight so much amongst ourselves over issues like Women at the Wall. I know that saying this is easy; the hard part is figuring out the win-win…..
